This live album, conceived by Milton Nascimento, a profoundly religious man, as a tribute to God after his serious health problems, carries plenty of references from several periods of his career, and one can intuitively believe he was inspired by a concern with posterity. An important moment is remembered soon in the first contact with the album: late singer Elis Regina, a discoverer of Nascimento's, in a vignette reminding you from her inspired rendition of "O Que Foi Feito de Vera," soon joined by Nascimento in a new version of that song, modernized in its harmony and structure. The album, in truth, is a super production derived from a mega show with dancers/actors that involved 100 thousand people in Săo Paulo's arena performances. Its perfect production, which never detracts from the original style of Nascimento's, is a good opportunity for taking contact with this important proponent of modern Minas music.
