Miles Dewey Davis III (May 26 1926 – September 28 1991) was one of the most distinguished jazz musicians of the latter half of the 20th century. A trumpeter, bandleader and composer, Davis was at the forefront of almost every major development in jazz from World War II to the 1990s. Unbelieveable what shows up now that there are video sites available like YouTube and Daily Motion. Just found a performance by Wayne Shorter with a European rhythm section at the Molde Jazz Festival in 1966. I wonder if this was a one-time band hired for the occasion or if they toured. I don't recognize any of those musicians, but the playing is very good. I've never seen video of Wayne playing this tune, but it was frequently played by the Miles Davis Quintet... MORE
