Those DC boys, Middle Distance Runner, are back with a new video for their new single “The Unbeliever” (available digitally on Itunes March 17th and in stores on March 24th). Apparently they’ve always longed to be claymationized and director Maxwell Sorensen was the man to do it. It’s actually a pretty factual representation of how [...]Related posts:Pasta Primavera Presents MIDDLE DIS
As you might of guessed we here at Pasta Primavera are pretty big Middle Distance Runner fans. So naturally I was super excited to find a new track from them waiting in my inbox this past week. It's entitled "Brother John" and you might have noticed the music on that Harley Davidson commercial that has been floating through the airwaves. I've heard this one live a couple of times now and it'...
After being sent the above flyer, I'll definitely be heading down to the Black Cat to see Middle Distance Runner , who I haven't seen in what seems like forever. They're playing after Title Tracks (featuring John Davis, ex of Georgie James) and before The Spinto Band . You canb buy tickets here .Baltimore readers can check out the band for free Saturday at 1 p.m. Here are the details: WTMD at...
Have I told you lately that Middle Distance Runner is the bee's knees? No. Well maybe that's because they've been hiding away recording a new album…only to emerge….on October 10th at Iota to celebrate their 100th show with the fabulous New Rock Church Of Fire opening. If you've never seen them live before, now's your [...]

Let me start this little rant off by saying it's an odd feeling seeing a show in a night club in the middle of the day. Luckily the 810 is such a sweet little club with a laid back atmosphere (and superb sound to boot) so I was at ease for this perfect stripped down [...]
If you were able to make this wonderful show last Friday then you already know how awesome it was. Everything I've come to expect from MDR shows was confirmed and then heightened. First let me just say what a fine little venue Arlington, Virginia's Iota is. It was my first time, but it definitely won't [...]
I went to see Middle Distance Runner open for Snowden and Forward Russia at the Black Cat last night. MDR has incredible stage presence; they are filled with so much energy and interact well with the audience. People were dancing, cheering, and pumping their fists - I give it 2 thumbs up!

If you've planned ahead, then you might be attending the free show/recording session Middle Distance Runner is putting on for WTMD at the 810 this afternoon. Should be pretty awesome to hear some new songs and acoustical versions. Tonight in Baltimore there are some other notable shows though starting with Necking, Teeth Mountain, Whales and [...]
