Michael Penn (born August 1, 1958, in Greenwich Village, New York City) is an American singer and songwriter. He is the son of actor/director Leo Penn and actress Eileen Ryan, and the brother of actors Sean Penn and Chris Penn. Prior to the release of his 1989 debut album March, Penn performed the song "This & That" with his band The Pull on a 1987 episode of Saturday Night Live. Originally released on Michael's second album, an EP, that and March were remastered and rereleased together as one album, a few years ago. My favourite songs from that are No Myth, Big House, and Bedlam Boys, but I love the lyrics of this one.... MORE

Sometimes I watch House if it happens to be on. The only shows I actually take the initiative to watch religiously anymore are The Office and Law and Order: Criminal Intent but House is pretty good too. The other day I caught an episode and "Walter Reed" by Michael Penn was being played.
