Metallica, the band that lead the fight to kill Napster (which lead to 10 years of the major labels actively fighting against the digital revolution, which lead to the death of the music industry as we knew it from the 70s to the 90s -- not necessarily a bad thing), is now considering doing what Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails have done: releasing their new album digitally and allowing customers (who they used to loudly refer to as thieves) to decide how much to pay for it.... The frayed ends of sanity...on many binges of acid and mushrooms, I ended up with very real paranoid delusions that everyone was scripted into my life, and no one knew that I figured it out, and I could actually make myself believe that I was in a scripted life, and I couldn't figure out how to escape....

...And Justice For All...listen to the hypocrisy in this country...politicians doing dirt, but no time, and blue collar honest people struggling to get by, but doing nothing wrong and ending up shot or hurt with their Health insurance not covering it...

On a typical day my CD booklet contains an array of artsy poetic music. Neutral Milk Hotel is a standard, as is Bob Dylan's "Blood on the Tracks," and Clem Snide's "Your Favorite Music." Albums with good songwriting are favored over those with superior technical ability. Also, generally albums that have a distinct focus and unifying theme are more apt to be in there when compared to albums that are "just collections of songs."
