I believe I have posted this song before. So shoot me. This cover of a relatievely minor entry in The Great One's songbook finds Melanie emoting all over the place, obscuring the simple honest lyric. Quite a lyric it is, too, as the narrator tries to convince the listener that all is well, contentment reigns. That must be what its all about... she sing,..but it doesn't feel right.
This song was shredded by critics in it's time. Derided as too corny, too cutsey, it none-the-less scaled the charts albiet as covered by the Searchers(?) I suppose I could look it up, but......?
