This song was shredded by critics in it's time. Derided as too corny, too cutsey, it none-the-less scaled the charts albiet as covered by the Searchers(?) I suppose I could look it up, but......?

Melanie covered a few Dylan tunes, and was in fact quite an interpreter of others' material. Her proto-emo approach had a wide appeal as the sixties morphed into the seventies. Beautifull people flocked to her shows where they'd sit entranced watching this waif with waterfall tresses crowned with flowers sing her delicate songs.
She continues to pop up from time to time in various settings but.....

My i-pod doesn't keep a charge so i have put it in the car connected to a power source and an fm transmitter and it is the official soundtrack source for my driving around. 99% of the time i am driving around I have my three year old twins as traveling companions.
