Meat Loaf has responded to criticisms of his live performance after a number of fans walked out of a concert in Hampshire before the end, reports the BBC. The 60 year old rocker was one of the headlining acts at the Broadlands three-day music event near Romsey, which also featured Boyzone and Katie Melua on the bill. disclaimer... I pulled down a torrent of an internet broadcast of it... some idiot upsampled it... made it worse in my opinion... but it was good enough to listen to on the drive into work...

But I won't do that. annnnnyway.....Kat and I were trying to come up with the most annoying songs that get stuck in your head. For me, this is the champ. There is something so corny about this video, that once I have seen it, I will find myself humming it from months afterward. It is so bad, and yet so good. I have a huge soft spot for really cheesy stuff (Seagal movies, bad music, and Destiny's Child / Gemini's Twin). Other honorable mentions in the annoying categor... MORE

It is hard to be my age and not have loved certain albums. Being 15 or 16 at the time some albums were inescapable...The Stranger, Rumours, Boston, Frampton Comes Alive, Bat Out Of Hell. If you are older or younger than I am you may not have a fond place in your musical heart for these huge hit albums, but I do. Still love 'em. Always will. However seeing some of these artists today can be a bit of a bummer. Case in point...Meat Loaf last night. I was very iffy on ... MORE

Meat Loaf's "Bat Out of Hell" = The sound of Springsteen getting royally gangbanged by Queen, in the same suburban high school shower where Carrie was terrorized by Tampax-tossing teen tarts...here's hoping Todd Rundgren's paycheck for fronting The New Cars is half as rich as it must have been for producing/contending with two tons o' fun like Mr. Steinman and Big Boy Aday...

So there I was, looking over my page, back to my very first post all of three weeks ago (seems an eternity in MOG years). For some reason it had to do with 1977's "Bat Out of Hell." And now, 29 years on...guess who's back:
Meat and Todd have returned to murder your eyeballs and earholes! Halloween 2006! I will...not be there to purchase this! But you are certainly welcome to! So...any takers?
