While they were setting up on stage i told my friend standing next to me, "this is going to be weird, but i bet im going to like it." i saw these two bouts a year ago, and it was one of the most energetic shows i have ever seen. which is impressive since there are only 2 of them. Matt is on synth and kim plays drums. FASTEST SET CHANGE EVER.

The weekend is nearing its end. You're probably depressed because the weather sucks, tomorrow is Monday, and you have to go back to the daily grind and a job you hate.

Been so busy forgot about Matt & Kim's debut album - out now on IHEARTCOMIX RECORDS. Although reading the site, distribution doesn't seem to be the best. So I've ordered it direct from the horses mouth. Really love Matt & Kim's music though, a right freshness and fun appeal when everything is all too serious these days. Odds are you have already read something about Matt & Kim today, and as much as I hate to write posts on bands that are already being extensively covered on other blogs, I have to express my dismay in having to miss Matt & Kim's show in Los Angeles this Saturday (12/9) as it is the same night as my company Christmas party...read more

so apparently matt & kim are supposed to be the new coolest band. you know, one of those groups that gain a lot of internet popularity and suddenly they play huge venues and charge $30+/ticket. they're really fun and i enjoy their songs a lot. it's just a huge bummer because i just booked my flight home [yay!!] and i'll be in los angeles by dec 8. it says on their myspace that they're playing in la on the 9th, but it's still to be announced as to where. i hope they confir... Ok, maybe I should say I've been going backwards checking out old favourites like (Beefheart, Humpers, see below) and many others. However it's not just the past as Matt & Kim confirm.
Discovered this American duo who come across like a Blackpool Pier music hall act, with some fine song writing thrown in.
Do check out their site which has some MP3's and videos available for download - debut album on the way soon hopefully!
