Masters Of Reality - Sunrise on the Sufferbus

(38)
Blog post image preview Masters of Reality Sunrise On The Sufferbus. .To be honest with you I know very little about this band other than that this is one heck of a great album. One of my all time favorites. Covers a lot of territory, from hard rocking to lush atmospherics, a great total listen. .Reading from allmusic.com Guitarist Chris Goss led this band through several line-up changes over the years. The line-up on this album, (and this album only it seems) consisted of Goss, a bass play... MORE

Four From Masters Of Reality Pt. 2

Blog post image preview One more from their debut release. This song is a rocker! It reminds me (slightly) of Woody by The 77's and something by Zeppelin that I can't place my finger on. This is the cover of the re-release on Delicious Vinyl Records.

Blog post image preview I love this track. If you got some good bass speakers... turn them up. It's laid back and thick. The only other recording I have by this band is a live release called How High the Moon: Live at the Viper Room, but I think I only listened to it once (because I'm not a fan of "live" recorded music.)

Four From Masters Of Reality Pt. 1~ (Back On Track)

Blog post image preview Yes, Dave got it right, I knew he would. The mystery track is Masters Of Reality and their song T.U.S.A. Here's a track off of their prior disc. It was more southern hard rock/blues than anything. But there are a few rockers on the disc. It's original release was on Def American and produced by Rick Rubin. For whatever reasons, they left or were dropped by Def American. They later re-released the disc on Delicious Vinyl records with an extra track or two and the ... MORE

Blog post image preview Well now, I'm all punked out for a bit. Here is one for my first overseas subscriber! I think she'll get it. And then I will follow with a few other from the same artist. Betcha don't know who it is! (At least not until next post!)

Four From Masters Of Reality Pt. 3

Blog post image preview After their debut release, they lost a couple of members and picked up one Ginger Baker, of Cream fame, on drums and became a trio. Their next release Sunrise On The Sufferbus was very ethereal and strange in places and very rockin in others. I picked a track here that rests somewhere in between.
