All Music GuideThe best thing about this live record is the series of thumbnail photos from Duke Kahanamoku's in Honolulu. Beginning with a so-so rendition of Les Baxter's "Rain," it is thereafter solidly disappointing and dull. Covers of Hawaiian tourist standards never was a strong point for Denny. (But, a better experience of the Martin Denny Group live is to be found on an episode of Webley Edwards' "Hawaii Calls" television show.)
