All Music GuideConsidering its subject, this is a strong record with still quite a bit of exotica, at least bird calls and Japanese instrumentation. Silver Screen gives the first hint of the departure toward light jazz as well as a taste of the sound of the later Exotic Percussion record. Liner notes are by film writer Louella Parsons. Note that bird caller and percussionist Augie Colon does not imitate bluebirds on "We're Off to See the Wizard." John Frigo is guest bassist.
