I've listened to the album, Songs About Jane, and I've been listening to their recent single, and all I want to know is what the hell happened? I mean the songs just seem trite and ehhh...God, I don't know, I just feel like ripping out my hair when I hear Adam Levine's voice. It's like ever since he's work with Kanye West I hate even seeing the guy's face on TV.
so yeah...
i just moved out of my parents house and into atl with some good friends and they have like massive internet connections like in every room...so i went and downloaded some music...i never listened to maroon 5 before because i had always thought that they were too "poppy" for me...this song is amazing tho

So, i just moved into my new place on sunday. It's a cute 2 bedroom appartment in Paterson, NJ - not the greatest place in the world, but not too bad and the proximity to school and reasonable distance from NYC are huge plusses in my book. I moved in with a good friend of mine and I already feel at home there (the most important thing about a living situation, i think). I am so happy to be on my own again, I get so much more accomplished when I'm not living in my parent... MORE
hmm. maroon 5 has been my favorite band since I first heard their music. Hands down, no matter how much they are played on the radio or annoying tv stations such as MTV Or Vh1. Theyre songs are catchy and the lyrics are definitely unique. I will say M5's sophomore album is good. Their first album was really good, despite the singles being overplayed. I dont feel that this album will be the same way. It doesnt have the same reaction to some people. To me, I like it just as ... MORE
Maroon 5’s It Won’t Be Soon Before Long took the Number One spot on the Billboard 200 this week, selling 429,000 copies. The sophomore release from the LA-based rock group pushed Linkin Park’s Minutes to Midnight to the Number Two position. Linkin Park only sold 198,000 copies of the album. We say only because that’s about 400,000 less than last week. But it was the biggest week for Ozzy Osbourne who nabbed his highest-ever chart position! Ozzy’s Black Rain clocked in ... MORE
So here's my thing with the new Maroon 5 album: I like it, but I loved the first album, the continuity of that one was perfect. This one, while it's still very good in my book, lacks a little in that department. It seems like they tried to branch out a little bit on this one. However, in doing so they created some good songs, but they just don't fit as well together as the ones on their first disc did. One of my favorite things about was the way i could listen from beg... So I bought Maroon 5's new cd yesterday, and well, I wasn't a fan of their new single but let me tell you something that a lot of people don't know about M5. Their last cd, "Songs About Jane" was recorded by the band themselves as something to take to record companies to sell in hopes of getting signed. Well, the record company had liked what the band had done on their own so much that they decided to mix and master what M5 had done on their own and release it. So whe... MORE
Let me just say that Maroon 5 is one of my top five favorite bands of all time. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've listened to their first CD, Songs About Jane. I'm still not tired of it, and it's been five years since its debut. Which, in itself, is pretty impressive. So it goes without saying that I have been waiting for this new album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, for a looong time. Before all the hype for the new CD started, I was that person walking around s... MORE
