Video: Malajube session with They Shoot Music

Malajube dropped by They Shoot Music and did a little accoustic session. Not really sure what They Shoot Music is all about, but it does look/feel like a poor man’s version of la Blogothèque.

New Video: Malajube - Porté Disparu

Canadian francophones Malajube have released the new video for their song 'Porté Disparu'. The video seems to have a Clue-theme to it where everyone of the band members gets killed one-by-one. You can watch the video below. Malajube - Montréal - 40°C (Rhume de Sinus) [zshare]

Polaris 09 Shortlist: Malajube Labyrinthes
2 months ago

Of all the nominated LPs for this year’s Polaris Prize, the one farthest from my circle of music is Labyrinthes by Malajube.  After listening to it closely though, I’m not quite sure why I never got on the Malajube bandwagon earlier.  Their post-rock, almost proggish, epic sounds  fit nicely alongside the rest of my music [...]

Malajube – Labyrinthes Review

Malajube’s [Myspace] third full-length record, Labyrinthes, scatters pop hooks over prog tendencies, pulling off a trippy yet inoffensive album that delivers on nearly every track. Dismiss your xenoglossophobia, Labyrinthes is an incredibly enjoyable record, even if you don’t know just what it is they’re singing about. Malajube let the reigns out for the [...]

I'm allowed one mistake, right?

Woops! So I posted the wrong song. But in my defense, it was my first post ever, so I think I should be allowed some leeway. Anyway, THIS song is La Monogamie, and is I think a much better introduction to Malajube than Le Metronome, which is what I posted earlier. Sorry! Enjoy this one, though, it's fantastic!

UNDER THE RADAR: Artists and Bands You Must Watch Out For 2009
10 months ago

With great picks from artists primed for a breakout in the 2009.MALAJUBEThese indie Rockers from Montréal, Québec---Malajube--produce melodious Francophonic music. And as if that weren't enough, this group has gained some street cred when Roger Wireless put up their song “Montreal -40° C” in a commercial, not to mention "Ton Plat Favori" was in a Zellers commercial. After a quiet 2007, the

Ohhhh, They Are Singing In French

Well first off, I think it is worth mentioning I have no actual idea about who these guys are, what I do know is that they are from Quebec, sing in French and rock pretty well.If only I could understand a bloody word they are saying!I hear this song was used in a Rogers Wireless commercial but I have no idea what Rogers Wireless is either so thats no use to anybody

I don't really feel like making a real entry so I'll just say this.Went to see Malajube at Maxwell's last night. One of the best shows I have been to in months. Even though I couldn't understand more than three or four words coming out of their mouths [they sing in French and are from Quebec] it did not matter one bit. They are full of life and energy, and put on an AMAZING show. I can't wa...
