In a statement, Machine Head main man Robb Flynn has revealed that he and Machine Head bassist Adam Duce have entered couples' therapy. To wit: "Adam and I have been going to therapy. Yep… going to therapy, to work out our bullshit. And oh how we *needed* to do this… lemme tell ya, after 17 years of [...]

We love Machine Head and we love Iron Maiden, so naturally Machine Head covering Iron Maiden would be a good thing, right? Yes indeed. The track comes from the Maiden Heaven compilation released by Kerrang in July, which also features loads of other cool bands covering Maiden. The below video is included on The Blackening [...]
Oakland based metal group Machine Head apparently were rejected by Disney when they set out to play the House of Blues venue in Anaheim, a Disney joint. The group had arrangements to play the venue on their current tour, but at the last minute were rejected. Apparently some Disney suits slammed the door in the band's face citing "violent imagery." From the groups website:"In a stunning last-mi...
I don't know, if anybody wrote before in MOG something about Machine Head, as the MOG search function doesn't work at the moment, but I would guess that this is the case.Anyway, if I'm remembering right, this was the last metal album, that I bought somewhen around '95 or '96 before I turned my back to metal.I just read that it was quite successful in Europe, but less in the U.S.. When I bought ...
Can't remember if I've posted this clip before. But, who cares, it's such a great song. One of my, if not the, all time favourite songs by any band.So glad I had the honour of seeing this band when they last toured the UK at the end of '07.Robb Flynn often calls it a Lamentation On Death, but he understates his song writing talants so much, because it is so much more than that. Sitting in the e...
Okay, you guys, I'm taking off to a concert right now. It's Lamb of God, Trivium, Machine Head, and Gojira. I'm going alone; my buddy bailed. I anticipate hospitalization or death.
I bought the new Machine Head album today. "The Blackening" is their best album in years. The first two albums were incredible, then they started slipping into suckdom with "The Burning Red". I had to get their new album after hearing "Now I Lay Thee Down". The whole album kicks ass, but I think my favorite track is "Wolves". Here's the video for "Now I Lay Thee Down":

Why have I started to listen to Machine Head? They share their name with a "Deep Purple album":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_Head_%28album%29 for example, who I may have liked if I was born 30 years earlier than what I was. I checked out their back catalogue and Supercharger, was rubbish. Hmm, I don't know .. I'll mull this one over.
