Okay... back home after my trip to Sasquatch! Music Festival... (hence the song from and the poster about Mr. M. Ward) Cool song... although he wasn't there. (his loss) Overall a great festival... I went to the first two days (out of three) and it was definitely worth the 13-hour drive from San Francisco... So, being an avid Bright Eyes fan, I first M Ward when he played gee-tar for them on the Late Late Show back in 2004. But, it was only recently that I actually starting listening to his music. I absolutely love Post-War and think that the folk/indie sound that he has going on is absolutely beautiful, yes? saw the indubitable m ward tonight last minute 5th row seats at cost on craigs list was a nice weekend omen damn, that guy puts on a classy show, so moody he played solo tonight and sounded like a full band at times with his very impressive fingers rambled all over the stage like a man posessed, rarely engaging with the audience at all, except through some very emotionally expressive guitar and vocal stylings watching this guy, you really feel like you're seeing... It's been years since I've earnestly downloaded music. I remember Kazaa, that was the bees knees at first. Once Limewire happened to me, I was obsessed.. You wouldn't have believed how bad I got. I was looking around last night and was surprised to see it. The retail date is Tuesday Aug 29th. I purchased it and gave it an initial listen very late last night, and I think it is very good. More focused and directed than his previous. What's your take on M? Can this guy stand on his own as an artist, or will he always need the tour support of Bright Eyes and Jim James?
