Here's the story.
I saw the DOOM show on New Years Eve. The location was amazing, downtown LA in an old warehouse. KRS -1 rang in the new year with an amazing set. Pharcyde capped it off with "Passing Me By." I was speechless.
It was better than ideal. I wouldn't have changed a thing.
At about 12:50am KRS -1, Fatlip and everyone else said their goodbyes to make way for the masked wonder.
The stage was cleaned off, and the crowd started yelling f... MORE

Tonight has finally come. Doom at the SAFEHOUSE in downtown LA. This is going to be unreal. The masked villain himself ringing in the new year with another spine-tingling adventure.
Anyone else going?
I'll be back with a full recap and photos in the coming days.

More scandal in the MF Doom-gate. Apparently, concert-goers and promoters alike were disappointed with the impostor's performance in Atlanta, Georgia on December 13th. The $30 concert was going great until 1:30 am. That's when the Doom mask appeared onstage. But who was the man behind the mask? No one knows. He never uttered a word that hadn't been previously recorded - no "hello", no "goodbye", no "thank you, you've been a great audience", nothing! He came out, lip-sy... MORE

Check out the 2006 Doom. Who knew? I completely missed this one until about a month ago. FYI He's playing downtown LA for New Years 2007. And to think a whole mess of Doom is coming out in 2008/2009. Riiight...It's going to be legendary.... MORE

I'm not the type of cat to break dance in a club, nor bop m head roughly because of this sick ass beat. Neither am i the type of cat to purchase a cd just with strictly beats. Although I do love me some DJ battles, scratching turn table get by's and just the four elements of hip hop. Yes, I sure do.
So, tell mew what you think about this cat right here. First off, his name is MF DOOM . doesn't he sound kind of dark? That's what my first impression was. Dark, wierd and n... MORE

I've been nursing this album for the last couple of days and boy... good stuff. MF Doom is one of those artists that I kept telling myself I'd get around to, and I'm _extremely_ glad I finally did. I haven't had an album like this in some time, something so refreshing and original, right from the first track it's gold to me. There are a few strange interludes that drag on a bit, but I accept that as a part of Doom's style. The album came out in 2004, and yeah I heard about it... MORE

If I can point to anything that has caused any hardships or conflicts thus far in my life it would be A)The cold, existential absence of God and, more importantly, B) the lack of spontaneus entrance music when I walk around in my apartment.
Here are my top five songs to randomly pop out of the ether when I walk through doorways (matched up with their intended pants, for the sake of organization) 1. "Emblica Officinalis" MF Doom, 'Special Herbs 7, 8' - Long, Flowing Co... MORE
