Lush from the early days. Might I also say short hair on Miki berenyi was enthralling. Special thanks to youtube user: Lushfan.
Random musings while I wonder how Lucy's doing since she left MOG and Multiply: I don't think I mentioned it before today, but I'm an uncle again! Melissa's baby sister gave birth to a small but healthy boy on the 21st. Morgan got to head to Provo, UT with his grandma (Melissa's mom), but they didn't make it on time. Melissa left last week to go help too, but she's coming back with Morgan tomorrow (um, Thursday, left coasters). Oh yeah, his name is Brody. W00t! Congrat... MORE
That's it, I'm raising the white flag. No more war for me! I'm feeling desensitized to all the musical brutality, and feel a great need to counteract. You know what they say, that one man can make a difference? Well, let's see if that's true. I hereby invite one and all to come in from the hostilities for a few, rest your weary souls, and post a favorite video that raises your spirits to a higher place. I get there by shoegaze, dream-pop, and their various cousin... MORE
Just love the album that this track comes from. Played the cassette in the car until it warped, it was that good.
The sort of music that you just crank up and immerse yourself in and when you're finish you feel totally cleansed.
For Love Now that are notifications are back, I can once again feel free to infect the MOG with music-crack all the live-long day. MUWAHAHAHAHAHA! Today, Lush's excellent cover of the Wire track "Outdoor Miner" has been coursing through my PC, and I felt the need to share. Lush came along my way from a short interview in Details magazine in spring 1991. I was intrigued, and snapped up the Gala album, which neatly compiled their early UK EP's, with the "Sweetn... MORE
These 2 CDs, put out by ClubAC30 and avail thru Tonevendor are essential for fans of classic and modern Shoegaze. This week's show will feature the Vancouver Dreampop band Hinterland covering the Lush classic, For Love. To hear it, tune in to Auralgasms Radio from 10PM-Midnight EST on Sunday Ja... MORE
So I got started in this trade thing with some people. It's mostly just how we trade around once a week, some important EPs and singles. My first one the week of October 15 was the Mad Love EP by Lush.
I already knew a couple songs by Lush because ive been on a real shoegaze kick recently, and my thoughts on them were that they were a so-so band. some good songs, some bad songs, whatever. Miki Berenyi's voice kind of grates me. There are times when it perfectly harmoni... MORE

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (CNN) -- The president of the National Association of Evangelicals resigned Thursday after accusations by a male prostitute that the pastor paid him for sex over three years. The Rev. Ted Haggard said he also is temporarily stepping aside from the pulpit of his church in Colorado Springs pending an internal investigation by the church. The church official who temporarily has assumed Haggard's post said late Thursday that there has been "some ... MORE
Ok, so if Cocteau Twins made you a little uncomfortable cuz you thought they were strictly for the brooding, romanticist college-boy crowd (no arguments there. I was certainly guilty as charged) then you gotta give Lush a listen. A perfect melding of beautiful, angelic female vocals with, yes, lush, loud guitar reverb. Play it loud, play it proud.
