If you like your indie-pop with a bit of Swedish thrown in then you'll be glad to know that Swedish indie-pop collective Love Is All are distributing a new EP on their newly announced tour of Europe and the US. The tour kicks off today (May 4th) and runs right through til June 13th with one extra Festival date in July (Hultsfredfestivalen if you're asking).
I heard on NPR the other day that those dudes had fired up that super collider thing-a-mah-jiggy that could suck us all into a black hole if used improperly, but also that being sucked into black hole is actually like the absolutely best way to die because it happens within billionths of a second. This new song by Love Is All isn't quite that quick, but it does come in under the two minute mark ...
There was truth in advertising in Love Is All's 2006 debut full-length/breakthrough Nine Times That Same Song , but that's fine -- it's a fun song. More recently, the Swedish quintet shifted things up with that "Darling Nikki " cover (and the other covers on the five-song tour EP), but they're back to usual form with their sophomore collection, A Hundred Things Keep Me Up at Night . We've alrea...
So, of my promised Scandinavian posts I'm now gonna post this track from Love Is All (Sweden). I'm sure some of you have heard of Love Is All before, they released this record on a small label called "What's Your Rupture" roughly about this time last year, and I picked a copy up through InSound, which is possibly the best online store for indie and upcoming releases. I managed to catch them liv...
Hello! So this is my first MOG posting. I'd like to use MOG as an opportunity to keep up writing about music while I'm not doing it professionally at the moment. Crystal Stilts (photo credit: Lauren Bilanko ) It's obviously Sweden's Love Is All 's night at the Horseshoe Tavern tonight but I do strongly encourage attendees to get there for Brooklyn's Crystal Stilts' set.
