Why is it that Lou Reed’s ‘Satellite of Love’is interesting only lyrically until the last minute when musically it becomes the most compelling thing that you ever did hear? Is it the magic of David Bowie’s backing vocals finally hitting home as he almost steals the show? I think that based on the end of ‘Satellite of Love’ Reed could have built the track into something absolutely epic.
