So I was thinking about rock and roll singers not taking care of their voices, and this led me to remember Van Lear Rose by Loretta Lynn, which she recorded when she was SEVENTY. You won't catch me listening to country all that often, but that don't mean It's not fun.
Loretta Lynn has seen a bit of a revival lately thanks to Jack White and Van Lear Rose which is a pretty good album.
This one's a classic that always makes me laugh.
I mean, she looks ready to beat some ass don't she?
Oh man.
Loretta Lynn is coming to town.
And I find this out only days after finding out that in April, I get to see the Charlie Daniels Band and the Marshall Tucker Band on the same night and in June I get to see Hank Williams, Jr., and Lynyrd Skynyrd on the same night.
This is like classic country music heaven.
