Lordi's management has sent me info about an interesting contest which is quite in tune with the Halloween season. In light of their new CD coming out on the 28th, RedMusic.com is hosting a Horror Video contest. In order to qualify, follow the following instructions: 1.) Log onto www.redmusic.com/lordihorror where you will enter your cell number [...]
A lot of people say to me, "Brendan! I know you to be a fan of Finnish Monster Metal Band Lordi; when's their movie coming out?"Okay. Not one single person has said anything even close to that. In point of fact, I am the only person I know who is looking forward to the Lordi movie. In any case, it premieres in Finland on February 8th. No idea when it'll make it to the US, but I'm betting on...
2007 mainstage Ozzfest vets Lordi came under gunfire following their Friday night show in Kentucky. A stolen car full of alleged drug addicts pulled up next to the Lordi tourbus and took aim at the band's manager Rikk Scholvinck, who fled the scene and called police. A fan was reportedly held at gunpoint by the thieves in the attempted armed robbery. "In a moment we were surrounded by like five...
So apparently Lordi is making a swing back through the US of A this fall. Monster masks, sing-along choruses, bat wings, smoking skulls, battle axe mic stands, tombstone keyboards, and lots and lots of pyro. Oh, it'll be a truly delicious affair. Luckiest of all are those souls in the vicinity of Sayreville New Jersey, who get to see Lordi on Halloween Night. If the kids didn't have school t...

Sunday I spent seven hours in a minivan driving from New Jersey to Boston. Monday I spent seven hours at Ozzfest 2007. My seven hours at Ozzfest were definitely more enjoyable, but it was a close thing at some points. The boy, as I've mentioned before, is a big Ozzy fan, and what with tickets being free this year and all, I figured, well, what the hell. What could possibly be a better spot fo...
More time spent with my Lordi album, this song has also come forward as one of my favorite on the album. It has a video nearly as awesome as the Hard Rock Hellelujah video. That girl is creepy.
I heard about Lordi a few months before Eurovision and liked them immediately. They remind me of when I was younger and into music like this. Lordi not only won Eurovision with this song, but won by a landslide, and did it to make a point about the pop music scene in Europe. To those who are about to rock, we salute you.
I remember when Lordi first rose to prominence outside of their native Finland, by winning the Eurovision song contest way back two years ago. I remember, because I was there! Well, I wasn't actually in Athens for the contest, but I was in Europe, and I did have a front row seat on a big [...]

This has to be the funniest band to come out of sweden in years. four guys in zombie costumes playing 80's metal remenicint of alice cooper. catchy stuff tho so take a break from serious music about death and polotics and the pain of seperation and just wallow for a moment in pure kitch and zombie silliness. Could you love a monster man?
