In continued celebration of the 15th anniversary of Liz Phair's Exile in Guyville the born again indie rocker will perform the album in its entirety at the end of August: August 27 at Theater of the Living Arts in Philadelphia; August 28 at 9:30 Club in Washington DC; and August 29 at The Paradise in Boston. It's been five years since Liz Phair's self titled album on Capitol was released and although a lot of long time fans were put off by the album because it appeared to be overly commercial, we embraced the fun of the wonderful pop that Lauren Christy, Graham Edwards and Scott Spock of The Matrix brought to the table as produceres and co-songwriters with Liz.

In 1991, before Liz Phair became the "average everyday saint psycho supergoddess" she was just a really hot chick with a guitar and a four-track, producing three tapes worth of raw demos under the name Girly Sound. This is a beautiful song. I first discovered it as a central element of the motion picture soundtrack for "13 going on 30". A great metaphor in the lyrics is "We're already wet and we're gonna go swimming.".
