Lily Allen's newest album has definatly T.K.O this music lover. The album is poppy, witty, and has that "Dance in the mirror" quality. Anyone who listens to "knock 'em out", will immediatly identify with the age old bar situation, and Allen does a great job of making an uncomfortable situation into a hilarious and contagious song.

Lily Allen is definitely enjoyable, for all that she's been a bit over-hyped. The fab Bethers hooked me up with "Knock 'em out" I think this is what Alanis was going for. Also got a sugababes overloaded:singles collection import finally. I really like some of their music (file under guilty pleasure) but it's occasionally ruined by how different the accent sounds. I haven't listened to enough of their stuff to risk a non-compilation. I mostly like to run to dance-pop mu... MORE

Bit of a departure from my usual tastes, but I stumbled across Lily Allen recently and felt like sharing. The critic's shorthand for her is "the female Mike Skinner (aka The Streets)", which is semi-accurate I suppose - little vignettes of urban living, relationships, drinking, drug-taking, and assorted little tales of little lives, musically veering from garage-y or drum n bass to gentle acoustic numbers.
