Hello hello. Work has been beyond realistically busy, and thus my MOG has laid dormant for quite a while. While I'm on an acid jazz roll (whatever acid jazz actually is), I wanted to post a review of Lettuce's sole studio album to try and improve this stunning offshoot of Soulive's visibility. I had already had nothing but praise for Lettuce's Live in Tokyo (which I reviewed here), but I was a little weary of whether they kept the energy in the studio. I can't say enough good things about this band -- they deserve ungodly amounts of praise. I'll outline the reasons very shortly, but let me say this outright -- these guys are without a doubt one of my top 10 favorites of all time. Why do I like them so much? Here we go: 1. I'm a drummer.
