Leonard Norman Cohen, CC (born September 21, 1934 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian poet, novelist, and singer-songwriter. Cohen published his first book of poetry in Montreal in 1956 and his first novel in 1963. Cohen's early songs are based in folk music melodies and instrumentation. In the 1970s, he was more influenced by popular music and cabaret music. I love this Song. It reminds me of my wilder (and younger) years when I partied more frequently with friends as we set the world to rights, "and the Johnny Walker wisdom running high", This song is a vivid reminder of those times that I'm sure we've all shared at some point, and just when we were really getting into the swing we, "were busted in blinding lights of closing time".
