Starting the show off alone Slim treated the audience to a new song before bringing the war eagles out and ripping into "Honey Pie." It terms of a fun live show Langhorne Slim and the War Eagles are as close as it can get to a sure thing. Pictures do little justice to the energy live but here are a few anyway.

So I know that it’s a dream for some people to be in a music video (though often it goes along with the image of driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in a Bentley, surrounded by girls with bikinis pouring champagne. So last night I had the pleasure to not only have Langhorne Slim order a drink next to me, but to see him and his band, the War Eagles, perform in the intimate, hole-in-the-wall known as Mohawk Place. It was an exciting night for these gents, as they would later in the evening be watching themselves perform on the Late Show with David Letterman. Got my ticket today to see Langhorne next week for a mere 8 dollars. Eight dollars. That's it. The 'convenience' charge alone for the Raconteurs show I went to yesterday was over eight bucks.
Thank you Langhorne Slim...for playing for us poor people, you are loved.

So...I had a most eventful evening tonight at the Langhorne Slim show tonight. The show itself was amazing! A great set in a super intimate venue...just perfect. But the rest of the night was oh SO eventful. I guess I have always known this, but maybe I have been single too long and tonight it was made PAINFULLY clear, I don't know...but I don't reccomend taking platonic friends of the oppostie sex to shows! I just read that American Idol winner David Cook scored 17 of the Top 200 Downloads last week on the digital music charts...
