ello, im back from my trip through the exotic and luscious midwest. and i gotta tell ya, it was a looong one. my sister, her husband, their two dogs and i drove from austin tx (which upon closer examination - turns out you have to be at least 21 years old to enjoy) to my home here in washington. conveniently, my sister told me on the last day, "you know what, we should have just flown back and had everything shipped." ya. we should have. i brought my camera thinking 'oh ya... There's been so much going on with work, as well as several new releases in the last week that I've had almost too much to MOG about. As a result, I haven't at all.
Today a song came across my ipod that didn't require me to think about anything other than relaxing and having a smile on my face. Sounds good enough to me. Hope you can share in the good feelings and just enjoy yourself. Fans of Stereolab take note...

is one of those groups that took me a long while to appreciate. you would think i would instantly be hooked with their click clacks and blipidy bloops, but theyre just so... damn... weird. his soft whispery voice took some getting use to. at first it was so annoying that it made me want to punch babies, but over time i have grown to accept it. so do i like their music? ... i think so. ive been listening to dntel's "dumb luck" album this week and the third track f... Seeing as I didn't read the footnotes that one can only have one mp3 per post, I had to split up that entry. Anyway, this second song by Lali Puna is also a favorite of mine from the 1st disc. So, I guess that sums it up today for my Lali Puna craziness. The two songs I have for today are from a group I mentioned in my previous post. Lali Puna is an electronic/dance group that hails from Germany. I used to work at Best Buy and would find myself randomly walking the music isles in the store and stopping in different sections after my shift was over. Having access to a pretty sweet employee discount, I would try to find CDs by artists I'd never heard of before and decide that $4-$7 wouldn't be too bad of a loss if the CD ... MORE
