Kyuss guitarist Josh Homme had always maintained that, despite any number of sonic similarities to suggest otherwise, Black Sabbath had never qualified as a major influence in his band's formative years; in fact, he'd only really discovered Sabbath late into Kyuss' development. So it's rather contradictory that the faithful rendition of the Sabbath classic that lends its title to this EP would ultimately represent one of the few cover versions ever committed to tape by the group during its short existence. Whether this claim holds any water or not, Kyuss enthusiasts will be most interested in the flip side of this release, which features the previously rare, spacy eight-minute jam "Fatso Forgotso," a vintage example of the overlooked band's influential Sky Valley-era heyday and a treat for serious fans.
