Klaxons won the Nationwide Mercury Music Prize tonight (September 4). The band recieved the accolaide for their debut album Myths Of the Near Future and admitted they were surprised to win. I had put money on the Klaxons winning the Mercury Prize, I'd be a few quid richer now. Dammit! I mentioned in a previous post that they might win and they did tonight (though I'd love to have seen it go to Fionn Regan). My predictions are never usually correct, because I thought the Guillemots (who I still think were robbed of the prize, if you ask me) were going to walk away with it last year, but it went to the Arctic Monkeys.
