Kings of Convenience are an indie folk-pop duo from Bergen, Norway. Consisting of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe, the musical group is known for their delicate tunes, calming voices, and intricately subtle guitar melodies. Both Øye and Bøe sing in their tracks, and both of them compose.

Today's almost spring-like, the first time I can say that in a long time. The sun's warm enough to melt the last of those dirty snowbanks that have been hiding in the corners of the parking lots and you can see the daffodils just starting to shoot out of the concrete planters.

I just came back from Krabi which is seaside province located in the Andaman Sea. I and my friends set up a beach party. One of my friends, Chris, takes a charge of music. 2Is there any better opening lyric to a song than “I’d rather dance with you than talk with you”? Well, I’m sure someone would argue that point with me, but one has to admit that it is quite clever. And I love how that opening line just stands on it’s own for a few bars before the song carries on, like the moment you take after a big relaxing inhale just before you let the air out of your lungs. 2I can't get enough of the Kings of Convenience video for "I'd Rather Dance." The song itself is a touch rude (or even lewd) but the video gives it an innocent, playful cast.
