Killer Mike (born Michael Render on April 20, 19??) is an African-American rapper, signed to Grind Time Official through the Selecto Hits imprint. He made his debut appearance on "Snappin' and Trappin'" on OutKast's 2000 LP Stankonia, and also appeared on the Grammy winning song, "The Whole World", the single from OutKast's greatest hits album Big Boi and Dre Present...OutKast. Killer Mike isn't one of my favorite rappers just because he makes good music. Killer Mike is a favorite of mine because he's shown that he's one of the most intelligent artists in hip hop music. Just by hearing him speak in interviews, you can tell that he truly "gets it". I am an admitted Killer Mike groupie. He mixes the intensity, materialism , violence, swagger of a D-boy with the heart, passion, and revolutionary mindset of a hood activist.
You can imagine my excitement when I learned his new album "I pledge allegiance to the grind vol.2" is out next month. The first single "2 sides" with Shawty Lo doesn't break the mold with anything original, but it's a perfect appetizer for the album.

Killer Mike and Alexyss K. Tylor Many of you will remember Miss Tylor from the hilarious clips of her public access show Vagina Power. If you haven't experienced her, hit YouTube RIGHT NOW ! Rockstar games has made public the first trailer to the game Grand Theft Auto IV. The game already looks amazing, and I can not wait to see what the boys over at Rockstar have in store for us. So, Rawkkiddo asked "Do you have a theme song?" Well, in case you didn't know, EVERY good hero has a theme song. And mine is Sex, Drugs, Rap and Roll by Killer Mike.
Now, on first listen, this song is just on some raunchy, rude shit. And, I'll give you that. With vivid accounts of "face-fuckin' and pill poppin'", I really can't deny the fact. The Make Hip Hop, Not War tour will touch down in 15 cities between March 24th and April 24th starting this week. The tour is designed to rally young people on college campuses and urban communities around the country to call for an immediate end to the Iraq War.
