Studios commonly had as many as EIGHT tracks, with slide faders, reverb, graphic equalizers and echo now standard devices. Even so, The IInd Street Dreads "Pick a Dub", produced by the maverick Keith Hudson, and featuring the Barrett Brothers, Earl "Chinna" Smith and the Soul Syndicate, caused a sensation in the late summer of 1975.
