A year ago I was homeless. My independent label was dismantled and I had hoped to be signed onto the major portion of my label. let me establish that i am a lightweight. that said, i had a glass of wine before the shoot. you see, i had never met the model i was to work with, and there was the task of physical interaction in a fantasy way... i see this video and i see myself being shy... arg i will always be what i am... but i am sick of being so "sweet". i just can't help either both being like that and wanting to be different. it that not the human condition. im still learning to accept the camera. i will get better. dork!

Recording is going well. I feel like a boss lady. 10 day lock out of a gorgeous studio with carved wood and purple raw silk walls, a live room with a baby grand, a vocal booth with some mic that costs as much as a car, i can lay in the sunlight and write lyrics by a wall of windows. quite a leap from some of the recording i've done in friends bedrooms and closets and even a converted storage shed. I can't even seem to throw away my own crumpled paper, it magically finds it... MORE

i went to the midnight premiere of batman, it was a last minute decision and i wanted the imax experience which of course sold out so we resorted to looking on craigslist. tickets had sold for $125 a piece in LA... but for $100 we drove to meet 2 tickets in irvine where the seller had his mom wait in line for 2 hours and secure 2 seats in the middle. funny.we sat next to a young gun from texas who was in town for a leadership conference with his church, he solved a rubi... A generous soul has made their house a home for my room mates cat. I am sad to report that I am allergic to cats! i love animals...you may remember me trying to raise money on here to save animals and get them adopted... well here i go again.My room mate has a cute little kitty that I can't live with because I can't breath so well. And that's a big one since i pretty much breathe for a living... and extra crucial since i'm making a record!
