I really would like to describe the whole feeling i get('when i look to the west'?) when i listen to this song..but it won't be much enough. Let me describe you some pictures that come on my head though. Smoke, blood, men voices calling for help...it's war time. Everything's messed up and as the song continues, everything gets worse. The drums have started, the quitarist nods at the drummer and starts playing. Voices..it's a war..the tempo suddenly changes. It goes faste... MORE

I left the venue shaking. Testiment to how good the gig was the boys released 2 x live tracks "Empire" & "Processed Beats". Just so happens I also recorded "Empire" on my phone. My MOG post 9/1/06 - "Me Plus One should be a likely single but Apnoea deserves to be just for it’s demolishing drum beat."
NME yesterday - Kasabian have confirmed the next single to be taken from their second album 'Empire'.
The band will release 'Me Plus One' on January 29 next year.
So, pardon me and allow me to bask in the glory of my rightness. (I'm married so it's the only time I'm right about anything.)

These guys fucking suck. They're probably the most generic looking and sounding band I've heard for a while. I don't get why people still buy into this awful formula that every awful band uses nowadays. With that disco drum beat and the stupid bass and the guy who can't really sing but he tries to have lots of attitude in his lyrics. How do you even pronounce their ridiculously creative name? Goddamn.

This is going to be short and... well crappy... but anyways I just finished listening to the new Kasabian album Empire. First impression? Not bad but at the same time nothing really stood out. Parts of the album reminded me of Primal Scream, but besides that nothing else really occured during my listen. I'm not saying the album is bad, it just lacked any songs that really stood out that much besides maybe the last track. I have a feeling if I read any professional review... MORE

OK, so yes, this is total lad/lout rock from the UK but it's sooooo good ... here's a link to the video for the single "Empire": I'm not sure they are that well known in Canada or the U.S. They released their first album in 2004 which I quite liked but it received mixed reviews ... very 90s Manchester influenced so if you're into that, you will probably like that too. But I saw them on tour when they were supporting that album based on how amazing their live sh... MORE

I heard about MOG this morning from a band that was on 89.3 The Current and one of the band members was talking about MOG as being a good source of marketing their music and connecting with other individuals.
Not sure what to think quite yet. The site looks better than myspace, that's for sure.
