Kanye Omari West (pronounced /'kɑn.je(ɪ)/) (born June 8, 1977), is a six-time Grammy Award-winning American record producer and rapper. He has released his debut album The College Dropout, his sophomore album Late Registration, and is working on a third album coming out in 2007 called Graduation. Both The College Dropout and Late Registration have received numerous awards.

I've been a fan of spoken word and Saul Williams for a long time. This song was the first Kanye song I heard and I dug it from the minute the drums drop in. Saul's verse at the end is just the icing on the cake.

In honor of Kanye West killing it at Live Earth — seriously, I have never seen the man work so hard. I also haven't I seen him without ridiculous white sunglasses in about 90 forevers, but that's another story — tonight, I note a song that I don't think he played today (at least not in the super long bit they showed on TV), but the first song I heard him do. I loved it then as I love it now. And yes, the Michael Jackson/ Michael Jackson joke still makes me laugh.... MORE
