just jack's new album 'all night cinema' was released on monday. it's been awhile since we last heard anything from jack, so it's been quite a nice surprise to see him come back with some very strong material. the album starts with the orchestral, ad-mans wet dream of a track 'embers'. which sets the tone, for the rest of the album as a much more polished, produced and mainstream pop affair com...
Perhaps not the most professional way to begin an early telephone interview on a Monday morning with one of pop music’s most astute artists, but it soon becomes clear that Jack Allsop is as down to earth as he is musically talented. Even after the success of his previous album, Jack seems to have...... READ MORE @ www.noizemakesenemies.co.uk (click the title to read on!)
Heard this track the other day on Radio 1 and I was intrigued. Just Jack is proving to be an extremely versatile artist by being more than just hip-hop or house or electro. The Day I Died makes Jack seem to be part Jay-Z, part Jack Johnson, and part Mike Skinner. The first thing that came [...]
Just Jack is just love. Since Stars in Their Eyes I could never get enough. This is off the new album which I will definately be copping. This is no doubt a summer tune and I couldn't agree more with PMA that the song is definately a summer sing-a-long material except noone really wants to sing "The Day I Died was the Best Day Of My Life." But truely, Just Jack really never dissapoints.Just Jac...
Its raining and I'm feeling blah. It's dark outside and moody so I thought I'd share this remix from veteran DJ/Producer Dave Spoon. It's a dubstep remix so I figure it will fit in perfectly with today (if your in NYC) after minute 1:25 the darkness comes in...enjoY!Just Jack - Embers (Dave Spoon Remix)
Another name that seems to perfectly slot into the growing list of vexatious pop artists from England is this very gentleman here, the self proclaimed; Just Jack. Somehow on his third full-length album and almost eight years into his music career, Jack seems to have finally hit the very bottom of his metaphorical 'artistic barrel'.
paranoid, delusional, lovesick, lonely, lust, nasty, jealous, insecure, at least that’s how i’m coming acrossJust Jack - Doctor DoctorI first discovered Just Jack when I stumbled across his new video for “Doctor Doctor” and was immediately smitten by both the song and his gap-toothed charisma. Setting fourth to uncover more gems by this 34 year [...]
JUST JACK – OVERTONES (2007)Before you go blaming Mike Skinner and his success with The Streets as the reason for the sudden influx of cockney white boy indie rappers, like Plan B and Jamie T, remember that Jack Allsopp (alias Just Jack) has a five year vintage, and released his debut LP “The Outer Marker” back in 2002. Of course nobody heard it, but, partly due to the Skinner effect, and th

It is the closest I can ome to some sort of identifiable foreign element of my heritage, I still have family members in England. Thus, when various family members came to the USA, I always found whatever they brought over or told me fascinating. As such, I developed an affinity for things English-hell, I...

So I knew Just Jack from when they sang Stars In Their Eyes and I loved them and really wished that I would get a lot more from them. When I was at Pretty Much Amazing and saw that Just Jack was up there with a new song and better yet, a cover I almost shat myself. It is a pretty good cover but I might be biased so let me know.[Live Your Live]
