Perhaps it's my deep love for the original innovative electronics duo Suicide, that has me digging the Junior Boys so much. I mean, they really don't sound anything like them, but they have a nice mix of breathy Cure like vocals, and 80's synth pop beats, sampled hand claps, and oh so millennial alienation theme made popular by artists like Radiohead.

Throwback to the sound of the 80's. This is a shoutout to the Junior Boys for honoring what was so great about 80's music. If you haven't figured it out by now, I LOVE 80's music. These guys take everything good about the 80's and mesh it with the technology of today. I love how they combing elements of instruments and electronica into their sound. They do it right.

I'm totally in love with this song. The lyrics are alright, but the music is the shit. I can't go through a day without listening to this song. I think I listen to it too much? Knowing me, I'll probably get over it by next week. Ha. On another note: the Saturday class wasn't so bad. My teacher is pretty funny, which makes the class go by a lot faster. Everywhere Stu turns, Hot Chip seem to be lighting things on fire! Coming off an entry in the famed K7 DJ Kicks series is a krafty remix of Junior Boys' In The Morning.Patience is of the virtue with this track. Even though it clocks in at 9+ minutes if you give the vibe a chance to develop you'll find yourself lost in a dream world reminiscent of Michel Gondry's Science of Sleep.

As many have experienced and the rest may have realized finals/exams are now over. I had a hard time turning off my mp3 player of choice and sitting down to study. Too many songs to listen to and oh so little time. The problem is I have to study with complete silence to really absorb information. Well, I don't know if I like Junior Boys or not. I do know that they're getting more hype than they're worth.

Does anyone else think that the Junior Boys kick serious ass? At first listen, you're like "this is no different than anything else electronic"...
But then, like 30 seconds into each song, you realize these guys are seriously bringing the style and soul. Check out "Birthday" and "In the Morning"
