Jude's song "The Nightingale" from her debut CD "Coming of Age," is in a new episode of Lifetime Television's hit series "Army Wives." It will air on Sunday, June 15, 2008 and repeated throughout the year. On June 8 the first season will be released on DVD, which includes the use of Jude's song "Wounded Heart," in episode "Independence Day."

Jude's song "Hold On," from her second CD "On a Good Day," is on Emmylou Harris' new CD "All I Intended to Be," on Nonesuch Records. Emmylou's delivery is breathtaking and sure to put a spotlight on Jude's gift as a songwriter.

Some artists are not that prolific when it comes to writing their own material, but are EXCELLENT when it comes to selecting other writers' songs to interpret. Bonnie Raitt is such an artist. Through Bonnie, I have discovered songwriters like John Hiatt, Karla Bonoff and, now, Jude Johnstone. If you want hearfelt lyrics and a passionate artist look no further, Jude is the real deal. I heard her song "Wounded Heart" featured in Lifetime televison's "Army Wives," and was moved by the emotion in it's lyrics and delivery. Check her out. Seems she has new CD coming out this August.
