I recently discovered this artist, though I believe he's been around a while. I've only heard 2 of his albums so far and he has been quite prolific over the last few years, so there is much too listen to (looking forward to his tour next month!). Anyway, this song reminded me of a friend, so I wanted to post it. Enjoy.

Josh Rouse is a relative unknown but nonetheless is a quality songwriter and musician. If you've ever heard his music, you'd know that his style will keep you hooked through the whole album. His lyrics are always interesting and the music never fails.

Personally, I prefer 1972, his album in which he leans toward a more vintage sound. His other two albums, Subtítulo and Nashville are also great. Check him out.

Recently he's been on tour with John Mayer.

The artists on The Program this week were both new to me: Josh Rouse and Elbow. I immediately had problems with Elbow. It might have had something to do with the weather, but Elbow immediately struck me wrong from the first listen. I got over it, in spades actually, but that is another story for another time. Rouse was a lot easier to ease into, even though I never "got" the "conceit" of this record which I kept reading over and over in reviews, which was that this record ... MORE

Love

Artist:
Album: Nashville (+2 Bonus Tracks)
Track: Winter In The Hamptons - (studio)
Love love love love this song, especially on a hot New England Summer day. Never been to the Hamptons, so I guess that has little to do with it, but the "ba da da da da" bit just makes me want to sweat and drink Bud from a can.
