Two of my most recent in-concert musical finds – the Neighborhood Bullys and Leslie & the Badgers – were originally seen at the behest of reliable friends with good ears. This past spring, someone put this song on a mix CD for me, and even though I took to it then, it found its own way off my play list as time went on. I found it again recently, and all of a sudden it couldn't mean more to me.
joseph arthur's redemption's son just arrived in the mail the other day, the first in a series of presents in my annual selfish tradition of gifts for one's self... it hasn't left my CD player in four days! i'm mezmerized by his velvet tongue, which helps me over the hurdle of his lyrics being too religious for the likes of an atheist. it's so out of the ordinary for me - but i LOVE this album. was just listening to it in my car, on the way home from work, and traffic g...
