This is a collection of some of the songs recorded by Jorge Ben between 1981 and 1984. Most of the songs that Jorge Ben recorded during the '80s lack much of the sting and spontaneity of his outstanding '60s and '70s output. However, the music of Jorge Ben is hardly ever completely dull or uninteresting and for the fan, there are certainly worthwhile moments on this collection, as for example the catchy and colorful songs "Pelos Verdes Mares" and "Irene Cara Mia." Another fine track is "Curumin Chama Cunhata Que eu Vou Contar," with lyrics about the situation of the Indians of Brazil. Compared with Jorge Ben's earlier recordings, the production of his albums in the '80s are much more elaborate and the sound is more electric.
