All Music GuideThis double-disc title certainly features Johnny Cash singing some of his best-loved tunes. And that's what it promises. But some of these are not original versions, and some of these are obscurities. Nonetheless, with its price tag, and the fact that Cash never, ever recorded these tunes badly, this is a nice little introductory set for a novice or for a collector who needs to fill the holes in a collection, but it's not for a consumer looking for definitive, original performances.
