I saw a great gig at the High Noon Saloon on July 16th. . . Dead Rock West supporting and backing John Doe of X fame.
I went down to the venue around 5 during the soundcheck to ask John if I would be allowed to record the show, and he was kind enough to say YES ! Dave Carpenter from Dead Rock West said it would be cool if I recorded their set as well.

Definitely prefer his simple solo work to better known material with X. Great lyrics that I enjoy more as I listen more. Lots of good tracks on most recent effort (Forever Hasn't Happened Yet), including duet with Neko Case. Fav all-time John Doe track is "7 Holes".... MORE
