John Vanderslice wrote Emerald City while going through drama with his French girlfriend who was trying to obtain a Visa from the US Immigration. Well this news just made my day. :) (from pitchforkmedia.com) San Francisco producer/songwriter John Vanderslice will release his sixth solo full-length via Barsuk on July 24. Thanks to Largehearted Boy for pointing me to this page. John Vanderslice's 'Pixel Revolt' was one of my favorite albums of 2005, and he has made the entire work available as a free download. The only catch is that the whole mess has been reworked by Scott Solter. Don't worry...That is not a bad thing in this case!
