Near the end of the school year one of my colleagues came to me with a DVD set that she thought I might enjoy. The show was called Freaks and Geeks , and she described it as a cross between the Wonder Years and Dazed and Confused. She told me to take it over the summer, and if I got a chance to watch it when I had some free time. I had not heard of the show, and during the course of my vacation I had almost completely forgotten that I had the set in my possession. This we... MORE
So I've talked about my first concert. Lets go to the second one. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (the classic lineup). 1981. Michigan State Fair Grounds. Support from......the Beach Boys. Listening to Joan Jett & the Blackhearts' new album "Sinners" and pleased to report that she hasn't mellowed with age. Good, catchy rock with plenty of attitude. Plus, from what I've seen Joan is looking fantastic for her age, which is variously reported as 42, 45 and 47. Apparently they are on tour this summer. Rock on, sister!
