Jeremy Enigk's newest record "World Waits" is one of those records I can't believe I put off picking up after I listened to it for the first time. Of course, Enigk's output with Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft is enough to solidify his reputation as one of the most brilliant songwriters and musicians around today. This cd is amazing. Reminds me of The Rising Tide by SDRE... and Cannons is addictive. I can't.. stop...
I didn't get as hooked on "Frog Queen" stuff or The Fire Theft for some reason. Maybe I just haven't listened enough...
And I know how everyone's favorite SDRE album is Diary... but I prefer the Rising Tide... and that seems to be everyone's least favorite. Hmm...
