Here is track one. *
* The new album has nine tracks. The first four are entirely new. The last five are live recordings of tracks previously released in 2006's World Waits (four days after my birthday, so that rocks). The release date is August 21st.
Verdict: You have no reason to fret.... MORE

I don't think Jeremy Enigk will ever stop making music. I'm glad he shares it. I can't wait for the new album. Here's a video of one of his songs from his latest album:

Jeremy Enigk's newest record "World Waits" is one of those records I can't believe I put off picking up after I listened to it for the first time. Of course, Enigk's output with Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft is enough to solidify his reputation as one of the most brilliant songwriters and musicians around today. Yet this solo record, a release from Enigk's Lewis Hollow label, is in a league of its own. Unbelievably top-notch songwriting, dreamy, lush soundscapes... MORE

The first time I ever heard a Sunny Day Real Estate song it forever changed the way I listened to music. In fact, they are probably a big contributor to the fact that I'm a musician today. When I first popped in Diary and heard Seven, I knew I had found something special. I followed the band closely until they split and then re-formed, and then split again. I've long hoped they may give it another shot, but in the meantime, the groups frontman, Jeremy Enigk, is still maki... MORE

I found Jeremy Enigk on a soundtrack to the movie Dream With the Fishes. I loved the song Abegail Anne and so I bought Return of the Frog Queen. I have loved that album since and have loved it many times over and over. It's just an album that never dies. I looked into Sunny Day Realestate, which for those that may not know, is the band that he was in before embarking on his own. I didn't feel inclined to get any of the albums. Then he came out with Fire Theft and I heard it a... MORE

I only recently got Jeremy's new album (Ex- Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft) ... and it's amazing. Seriously, go get it. Now! I decided I couldn't miss seeing him live again.. he was here two months ago and I wimped out. I hate hate when I do that... so I usually get a ticket ahead of time now. Things usually work out that way. But when I got there, my name had already been crossed off the list for will-call. Weird... Jeremy was amazing.. of course. He di... MORE

Last night, he was amazing. I was standing in front row just so I could close my eyes and have it all sink in... Ahhh... My friend Vadim was right, he is so great live!

This cd is amazing. Reminds me of The Rising Tide by SDRE ... and Cannons is addictive. I can't.. stop... I didn't get as hooked on "Frog Queen" stuff or The Fire Theft for some reason. Maybe I just haven't listened enough... And I know how everyone's favorite SDRE album is Diary... but I prefer the Rising Tide... and that seems to be everyone's least favorite. Hmm...... MORE

... I should also mention this, because I thought it was interesting. I've always been a pretty big Sunny Day Real Estate fan, so I'm always intrigued with any musical project involving Jeremy Enigk. He released a solo record recently, and I found this real cool interview with Enigk while browsing through eMusic.com: Read the interview here I'm not a real religious guy ... as a matter of fact, I stopped being religious at all back when I was about 17 or 18.
