Too many times nowadays you hear people complaining about artistic integrity, pre-made acts, selling sex etc etc etc... Well, with Janelle thats something you wont have to worry about. You cant really nail her down to one specific genre, She labels herself "Classical / Pop Punk / Other" (from her myspace page). Her material goes from R&B to blues, to pop/dance. Sometimes, living in Atlanta, you get to see incredible artists in concert... for free. I just left a concert featuring Janelle Monae, and apparently she's been busy. Miss Monae is coming out with four, yes that's right, _four_ albums this year. They are all parts of one album called _Metropolis._ The first part is coming out June 1st, entitled "The Chase". Janelle Monae is a young lady from Kansas City who is currently signed with Purple Ribbon Records, (The record label owned by Big Boi of Outkast) I heard her for the first time in a concert on Tuesday and let me tell you... her voice is just amazing, incredible.
