All Music GuideThe first CD release from Jandek is a continuation of the abstract themes he explored on his many LP releases, and joining the digital age does not signify any intention to change. The characteristic sound -- de-tuned acoustic guitar and pained vocals -- is intact on his debut in the digital age. Fans of the subversive avant-garde folk artist will find him joyously trying to destroy music once again, and the uninitiated will be either shocked or enamored by his lucid ramblings. If Daniel Johnson, Chris Knox, and Rocky Erickson seem eccentric, Jandek treads a territory far beyond the realms of strange on this outing.
