Jackson Browne-"These Days"I guess, after all is said and done, apologies are in order. So, here's to all my MOG brethren out there on our warming sphere. Been in one of those un-funky funks as of late. You know, when you sit there and stare at the screen after absorbing some delicious multimedia offerings with no thought percolating. My preference lately has merged in the instrumental lane, ma...
I have read many a post on music to listen to while running or walking. What you listen to a lot of the times, I feel, effects your workout on so many levels. Seems like Nike and Apple might have found the solution to making your workout that much better. First you want to go and get yourself a pair of Nike+ shoes, these come with a special insole that you can fit a special sensor into. Next, y...
We've all faced death - in life or in loveIt is such an absolute and is as inevitable and as certain as the sorrow that envelopes those left to soldier on.If something can ease that sorrow, you grab hold of it and embrace it, if only for a little while. This goes out to my mom, my bro and most of all to Irish, who taught me the beauty of love
Ive been waiting for something to happenFor a week or a month or a yearWith the blood in the ink of the headlinesAnd the sound of the crowd in my earYou might ask what it takes to rememberWhen you know that youve seen it beforeWhere a government lies to a peopleAnd a country is drifting to warAnd theres a shadow on the facesOf the men who send the gunsTo the wars that are fought in placesWhere ...

I have a rush of wonderful memories right now...A personal favourite... and singing along right now...It's coming from so far awayIt's h...
Standing in the ocean with the sun burning low in the westLike a fire in the cavernous darkness at the heart of the beastWith my beliefs and possessions, stopped at the frontier in my chestAt the edge of my country, my back to the sea, looking eastWhere the search for the truth is conducted with a wink and a nodAnd where power and position are equated with the grace of GodThese times are famine...

...I've been working on this side project for this sweet ass Elektra Records box set called "Forever Changing: The Golden Age of Elektra Records-- 1963 to 1973":http://rhino.com/store/ProductDetail.lasso?Number=74746&si=rhino which streets today and chronicles the inroads that the label's founder Jac Holzman made during his 10-year tenure at the helm of the little label that could...more on thi...
For Jackson Browne tells us so and he knows everything if anyone does. And cantankerousness aside, it's a gorgeous song. Why won't the video embed? O dear damn MOG!
I really wish I wasn't writing this right now. I just wanted to dedicate a song to one of my fellow moggers. A cool guy who I respected and who I shared a common love of music and movies with. I'm still shocked and saddened by this news of Crash's passing. Its one of those things you just don't see coming. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
